Hibs and Scotland midfielder John McGinn insists that he is not concerned about who the club face in the Scottish Cup semi-finals after beating Ayr United yesterday.
McGinn opened the scoring after only six minutes with a superb curling right footed strike from 22 yards then Jason Cummings added a second from the penalty spot moments later.
Hibs were denied another penalty due to a poor decision by the officials before Craig McGuffie pulled one back with a sensational strike but substitute James Keatings wrapped things up with a header in the second half.
The semi-final draw will be made later this afternoon with both Celtic and Rangers joining Hibs in the draw.
This will be Hibs third successive semi-final but McGinn is more concerned about gaining automatic promotion starting with Dundee United on Friday night.
Speaking after yesterday’s final whistle, McGinn told BBC Scotland: “On our day, we’re confident of taking on anyone. We’re now only looking forward to Friday and whoever we get in the (Scottish Cup) draw, bring it on.
“Our main priority this season is winning the league and we’ll be doing everything we can to do that.
“We as club cannot afford another season in the Championship, it’s really important we get out of it.”
“That’s the frustrating thing for us, but if we play like we did against Ayr then we can take on anyone.
“Everyone needs to be at the top of their game, we need to stand up and be counted, starting on Friday at Tannadice.
“Coming towards the end of the season, they’re all going to be cup finals and we need to win all of them.
“If we do that, we’ll be champions.”
