World Cancer Day takes place on 4 February and Asda has stocked pink Unity bands which will help raise money for two cancer charities.
The local Asda Chesser store will raise funds to support those affected by breast cancer through Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now. The suggested donation is £2.
Gary Anderson is Asda Chesser Community Champion and he said: “As one of the community champions for Edinburgh I know that our local customers and colleagues will unite to support World Cancer Day. We encourage everyone to pop into our store to pick up a Unity band. While you’re there take a selfie or make a donation!”
Gary lost his mum, Linda, who was a former Community Champion, to breast cancer two years ago.
