Hibs’ Head coach Neil Lennon may be forced to bring in another goalkeeper on loan after first choice Ofir Marciano had to leave the field midway though the first half against Bonnyrigg Rose with initial concerns about a potential cracked rib.
The Israeli international is just back from a seven-week lay-off with a knee injury and that prompted Lennon to allow third choice keeper Otso Virtanen to leave the club last week.
Ross Laidlaw has been playing well in Marciano’s absence however the only other keeper on the books suffered a dislocated thumb last week.
Speaking after the victory over Bonnyrigg Rose, Lennon told Hibs TV: ” Ofir got a knee or boot in the back around the kidney area. He’s gone to hospital and we are waiting to see what the results of that are going to be.
“We are hoping that it is not too serious. It will be a blow to him having been out for five weeks with a knee injury.
“That leaves us with only one fit goalkeeper. Young Kevin dislocated his thumb in his second or third day in training and if that is the case we may have to bring in another goalkeeper.”
