Neil Lennon’s assistant Garry Parker insists that he is not even considering losing to second placed Dundee United in front of a packed Easter Road tonight.

Victory will put some daylight between the teams and although Hibs have yet to take full points from the Tangerines this season.

Hibs leapfrogged United last weekend after beating Falkirk whilst Ray McKinnon’s side lost to Dumbarton.

Parker is also looking for the fans to get behind the team as their vocal support gives the players a big lift.

Hibs are boosted with the on-loan signing of former Motherwell player Chris Humphrey and John McGinn will be assessed this morning to see whether he is fit enough to play.

He told Hibernian TV: “It’s a massive game against Dundee United tonight and we will go four points clear if we win.

“We are not even thinking about losing. we want the three points and if we can get them then it puts us in a great position.

“There will be a full house and I am really looking forward to it. The fans are coming to watch and we want to put on a show and win the game for them. The fans getting behind us gives the players a big lift

“They beat us at their place and we weren’t too happy about that but hopefully we can put on a good performance tonight and win the game.

“I remember Chris (Humphrey) from a few years ago when I was at Celtic and he was at Motherwell. he did very well then went down to Preston and did well there and then he became available.

“He is very quick, direct and takes people on and he is a good addition to the squad.

“Teams come here and sit in but he is a little bit different and he can get in behind and it’s just what we need.

Hopefully John McGinn may be there or there abouts and we will see how he is. we’ve missed two midfield players for a bit of time and we are still at the top of the league without them so it will be just like having two new signings when they come back.
