EDINBURGH Capitals defenceman Mike D’Orazio urged his team-mates to make the most out of this weekend’s Elite League double-header and said: “Let’s all get on the same page.”
The Canadian was disappointed that the Murrayfield men failed to take anything out of a trip to league front-runners Cardiff Devils on Saturday and a home clash with Belfast Giants on Sunday.
And the 25-year-old, who is also studying at the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University, said: “We have spurts during games where we can compete with any team in this league.
“However, we need to find some consistency in our game to climb up the standings.”
Capitals prop up the ten-strong table and visit Braehead Clan (7pm) on Saturday and entertain Fife Flyers on Sunday (6pm).
D’Orazio said: “Our defensive zone coverage was poor this past weekend and when we get the puck we have trouble leaving our zone with procession.
“We do have a few games in hand, therefore we need to make the most out of next weekend.
“We’re going to have a great week of practice where we’re going to create a plan and give ourselves the best chance of executing that plan this weekend.
“It’s all about being prepared with a system in place where everyone can get on the same page.”
