Sixth-placed Watsonians face a local derby in women’s Division One at Peffermill with Edinburgh University (17.30) on Saturday.
Sam Judge’s side are third with 16 points from seven games and are playing catch-up with leaders Milne Craig Clydesdale Western, who have 21 points from seven fixtures, and Grove Menzieshill who are on 18 points from six starts.
Watsonians have seven points from their six fixtures and have a vastly inferior goal difference to Edinburgh, minus four against plus 36.
The only other game featuring Capital clubs comes on Sunday when Erskine Stewart’s Melville, who are eighth, face a basement battle with bottom club CALA Edinburgh (14.30).
