Police in West Lothian are investigating following a report of an indecent exposure on a footpath in the west of Mid Calder.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 17th, around 10:45am when a 51-year-old woman was approached by a man on a bike.
He asked her for directions and while assisting him she became aware that he had exposed himself. He remained in the area for a short time, despite having been given directions.
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-twenties with a slim build. He has a Mediterranean appearance with short dark brown wavy hair. He possibly had either a Spanish or Italian accent.
He was wearing a green top, orange/brown shorts and thin-framed glasses.
There have been two previous incidents of indecent exposure in the Livingston and Mid Calder area in the last week. The first occurred in the early morning of Thursday, August 11, on the B8046 when a 28-year-old woman was approached while walking her dog.
The second happened at 4pm on Saturday, August 13, when a 21-year-old woman was waiting at temporary traffic lights on Murieston Road East, Livingston.
Officers are investigating whether these three incidents are linked and are eager to speak to anyone who may have information or can identify this male.
Detective Constable Iain Duncan said: “This is the third reported incident of sexual exposure in the last week.”
“Police Scotland treats incidents of indecency with the utmost seriousness. While the victims have not been harmed, they have been caused considerable distress.”
“The identity of this man is urgently sought and members of the public are asked to report any information regarding these crimes to us immediately.”
