Police are not treating the death of a 56-year-old man who was found injured outside a block of flats in Fettes Row this morning as suspicious, but officers are still trying to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police in Edinburgh are investigating following the death of a 56-year-old man in Fettes Row.
“The man was found injured behind buildings on Fettes Row on Tuesday at around 10.15am.
“Emergency services attended, however, the man later succumbed to his injuries.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing, but the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.
“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
