Jason Cummings has signed a new four year contract with Hibs,

The striker, 20, signed for the club in 2013 and quickly established himself in the first team. 109 appearances and 48 goals later, the Scotland Under 21 internationalist has committed his foreseeable future to the Easter Road side.

Cummings told Hibs TV: “I am delighted to have signed the new deal with Hibernian.

“I just can’t wait to get started. Obviously the main aim is the get promoted and I will do my best to get us back in that league.

“We also have the Europa League game which should be exciting.

“I enjoy it here. There are a good set of lads and we’ve brought in a good manager whom I think I’ll learn a lot from.

“I can see that I am going to thrive playing for him and I am going to learn a lot form him. He brings that winning mentality and his training has been sharp and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.

“There was never any doubt in my mind over where I wanted to be this season, and I’m relieved to get it over the line.

“I feel my game has developed a lot over the last few seasons, and I’m looking forward to continuing to progress under the new manager.

“Everyone is buzzing after the Scottish Cup win, from the players to the supporters, and I’m sure we can achieve more over the coming years.”
