Gordon Strachan today announced his Scotland squad for the upcoming matches against Italy and France, as he prepares for the start of the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers later this year.
Hibs’ midfielder John McGinn who was Man of the Match in Scotland’s victory over Denmark in March retains his place and is joined by Hearts’ defender Callum Paterson.
The squad will be based in Malta for a summer training camp and have agreed two matches against world-class opposition.
They will play Italy in Malta’s Ta’ Qali National Stadium on Sunday, 29th May and complete their summer tour against France in Stade Saint-Symphorien, Metz, on Saturday, 4th June.
