Police are appealing for information following a housebreaking and theft which took place between 11pm on Tuesday and 10.30am on Wednesday morning at a house on Mitchell Street Dalkeith.
A wallet and car keys were stolen from within and the keys were then used to take a white BMW 320d M Sport, registration J444 GLS, from the property.
PC Scott Clark of Musselburgh’s Community Investigation Unit said: “Housebreaking and car theft are deeply personal crimes and we’re utilising various resources in an effort to trace those responsible.
“Anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area around this time, or has information which can help us establish the whereabouts of the car and return it to it’s rightful owner, is urged to get in touch.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or make an anonymous report through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
