Hibs have signed 29-year-old goalkeeper Conrad Logan on a short-term deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

The Irishman is likely to be an experienced cover for Otso Virtanen as first choice keeper Mark Oxley is suspended for the Scottish Cup semi-final against Dundee United at Hampden Park next month.

Logan  spent 14 years at Leicester City, where he progressed through the club’s youth academy before appearing in their first-team, as well as enjoying loan spells throughout the English football league system at Boston United, Stockport County, Luton Town, Bristol Rovers, Rotherham and Rochdale.

In total he has played over 150 first team matches.

Hibs’ Head Coach Alan Stubbs is delighted to add an experienced goalkeeper and is hopeful his presence will prove beneficial to the side in the latter stages of the season.

He told the club website.: “I am delighted that Conrad has joined us on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

“As a goalkeeper, Conrad possesses a wealth of experience at a very good level in English football, and this can only be of a benefit for us as we enter into a crucial and important stage in our season.”
