Hibs

Hibs’ defender Liam Fontaine expects a tough test when the team travel to the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium on Saturday afternoon to face Dumbarton in the Ladbrokes Championship.

Hibs now sit eight points behind league leaders Rangers after suffering a setback against Morton on Wednesday, but the players and management team will not be giving up on automatic promotion just yet.

The ‘Sons of the Rock’ beat Hibs on the first game of the season, so the players will be taking nothing for granted.

Speaking to Hibs TV he said: “We were disappointed with the result against Morton but we can’t afford to dwell on that too much with  game coming up on Saturday so we have to quickly draw a line under it.

“We need every player to be 100%, not just a few and we need to take our chances because had we taken our chances earlier on it would have been a different game completely.

“We just have to get over it and move on.

“It’d done now and we can’t change it we just have to focus on getting a 100% record until the end of the season and if we do we can be there at the end of the season of they (Rangers) slip up.

“We expect a tough test as always, but we will go there confident because we are a confident team.

“We have our own agenda that we need to try and achieve. It all starts on Saturday.

“The fans have been great this season so far and we need them to push us all the way to the end. We appreciate the support a lot.”
