Four people have been arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after police seized large quantities of Class A and B drugs during searches of two addresses in Wardieburn Place yesterday.
Heroin worth over £132,000 was recovered along with cocaine valued at £40,000 and cannabis worth around £1,800.
A three-figure sum of cash was also removed during the inquiries at the properties.
A 21-year-old man and three women aged 20, 54 and 23 are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today charged with drug offences.
Detective Inspector Alan O’Brien from the Proactive Unit at Gayfield Police Station said: “Once again, our communities have come forward with vital information relating to drug crime resulting in Wednesday’s enforcement activity, which saw the recovery of large quantities of harmful substances.
“I would like to thank the public for their continued support and would ask that anyone with information about ongoing criminal activity in their area contacts police immediately.
“Rest assured, we will utilise all resources at our disposal to investigate any reports of crime and bring those responsible to justice.
