Afternoon Tea 7

Today The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen begins serving afternoon tea to guests.

Des McDonald and his head chef Colin Fleming have put together a new Afternoon Tea menu including finger sandwiches, scones with raspberry jam and Stichill Jerseys clotted cream. All of the delicious food is accompanied by tea or coffee, or in special circumstances a glass of champagne.

Head Chef, Colin Fleming, said: “We thought that a few months after officially opening our doors was the ideal time to introduce Afternoon Tea to The Printing Press menu: it has once again become an institution and perfectly fits the stylish surroundings of the restaurant.

“The menu is simple yet modern and offers something to meet everyone’s tastes – we’ve even included a special afternoon tea for children to enjoy, which is packed with sweet and savoury favourites. We look forward to welcoming our guests to take tea with us here on George Street.”

The Printing Press Bar and Kitchen Afternoon Tea menu is available between 12 noon and 5pm, seven days a week, costing £19.75 per person for a selection of finger sandwiches, fancy cakes and scones with jam and clotted cream as well as tea or coffee; or just £25 per person to include  a glass of Champagne. The Children’s Afternoon Tea is available for £13.75.
