Police are appealing for information to help trace a 50-year-old man reported missing in the city.
Hugh Dobbie’s car was found in the Craigentinny Road area of Edinburgh in the early hours of today, Friday 1st January 2016.
Since then Hugh has not been in contact with family or friends and they are now growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone with information that can help them trace Hugh.
Hugh is 5ft 8 inches tall and of stocky build. He is thought to be wearing a navy top with two white stripes on the collar and light coloured jeans.
Inspector Stephen Rosie from St Leonard’s Police Station said: “This is very unusual behaviour for Hugh and we are obviously eager to find him as soon as possible to ensure he is safe.
“Anyone who believes they have seen him since 5 a.m on the morning of the 1st January, or who knows where he is, is asked to contact police immediately.
“In addition, I would also ask Hugh to get in touch so we can establish that he is okay.”
Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
