Structural maintenance work on the M90 Southbound at Junction 3 and M90 Southbound Junction 3 on slip road will take place from 8pm on Friday 20 November till 6am on Monday 23 November 2015.
This work requires the closure of the M90 southbound carriageway at Junction 3 and on slip road, with a single lane contraflow system in operation.
Traffic wishing to use the M90 Southbound at Junction 3 will be directed on the northbound carriageway.
Traffic intending to use the Junction 3 on slip will be diverted to the eastbound A92 to the Cowdenbeath Flyover, travelling via the A92 and re-joining the M90 southbound at Junction 2A.
Motorists may experience a slight delay travelling through the works, however vehicles travelling on the diversion due to the slip road closure will experience a delay of around seven minutes. We regret any inconvenience and would ask road users to plan their journey accordingly.
The scheme has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, BEAR, bus companies, Police Scotland and Fife Council.
Around 30,000 vehicles use this section of the M90 each day – while the southbound on slip road is used by around 3,700 motorists daily – and AMEY says these improvements will ensure the continued reliability and safety of this route for years to come.
