So you are already tired of the Christmas lights and the forced air of jollity in the city. Then St Giles Cathedral have the answer on three evenings between now and the middle of December.
Join us for an evening of quiet contemplation,
of silence, sound and candlelight,
and St Giles Cathedral as you have never experienced before.
Apply by 31 December 2015 to the Scotrail Culture and Arts Fund.
As part of the new ‘ScotRail in the Community’ scheme, the £40,000 annual Cultural and Arts Fund will enable communities to flourish.
They invite applications from groups across Scotland looking to fund arts, community recreation, and sports activities and projects in the vicinity of a train station or with a travel or safety theme. For Further information visit The Culture and Arts Fund

The Edinburgh International Film Festival, in partnership with the Edinburgh International Science Festival, is holding a unique event on Tuesday 15 December at the National Museum of Scotland.
Part of UK Space Day, celebrating British astronaut Tim Peake’s mission to the International Space Station, this Big Screen Space Night will kick off with a live link to Tim’s arrival on the ISS, include a special in-person audience Q&A with Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, and will feature a screening of Ridley Scott’s The Martian.
