2011_10 Police signs 5

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road collision which happened around 2.05pm yesterday  on Oxgangs Avenue.

A 26-year-old woman was involved in a collision with a Skoda car She sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where she continues to be treated.

Road Policing Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their ongoing inquiries to come forward.

Constable Fraser Mitchell said: “At this time we are still trying to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision and would ask that any motorists or pedestrians who were in Oxgangs Avenue on Saturday afternoon and witnessed the incident, contact police immediately.

“Similarly, anyone with any further information relevant to this investigation should also get in touch.”
