The fourth is the SNP councillor Lewis Ritchie.

Tigerlily, the ground-breaking ‘go-to’ venue that redefined Edinburgh’s bar and restaurant scene, is undergoing a major refurbishment – which promises to underline its position as Scotland’s number one destination for food, drink and good times.

The George Street venue – which includes an award-winning boutique hotel – is to have a ‘visually stunning’ complete makeover of its lay-out, interiors, and décor – as well as its dining and bar menus.

When Tigerlily first opened in 2006, it set a new trend on the look and feel of style bars and restaurants in the Capital – and in turn became the most talked-about late night venue in Scotland.

In the week that Edinburgh Council is due to agree that it will take 100 refugees, the residents in North Edinburgh are already doing their best to help. They are collecting items to be taken to the refugees in Syria by Edinburgh Direct Aid.

The Muirhouse Community Shop on Pennywell Road will be open today from 11 till 1pm to allow anyone to drop off their contributions.
