Police investigating the fatal road collision on the M8 in the early hours of Saturday morning in which Murray D’Angelo lost his life have arrested and charged a man in relation to an incident that occurred immediately prior to the collision.

The M8 was closed for 10 hours as officers investigated the scene.

A spokesperson said: “A 23 year old man has now been charged with the attempted murder of a 34 year old man and he will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.”
