Police in Edinburgh have arrested and charged three males and a female following a search of a property in Dumbiedykes yesterday morning.
Officers executed a warrant at an address on Dumbiedykes Road and recovered a quantity of heroin and valium, and equipment used in the supply of drugs.
A 27-year-old woman, and three men aged 33, 35, and a 37 appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (8 October.)
A 35 year old man was also arrested in relation to an outstanding arrest warrant and was held to appear at court.
Detective Inspector Stuart Harkness said: “Following an intelligence led search of a property at Dumbiedykes Road, three men and a female have been arrested and charged with drugs offences. This sends a clear message that Police Scotland will not tolerate those who bring drugs into our communities. I would appeal for anyone with information about organised crime within their community to contact the police on ‘101’ and provide that information or to contact the registered charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 in confidence.”
