Council to sell Towerbank Primary School Annexe – Edinburgh Bus Tours – Dads Rock AGM – PureSPA are Youth Employer of the month – Volunteer for Moonwalk 2014
The council decided on 22 May to sell the building at Towerbank Primary School Annexe to a private developer for use as a residential project. The Finance Committee will meet on Thursday of this week when they are asked to ratify this decision which will bring £325,000 into the council’s capital account.
A higher offer based on getting planning for a bar was rejected on the basis that the purchaser would be unlikely to get permission.

Edinburgh Bus Tours, Scotland’s third most popular paid-for visitor attraction and one of the Capital’s must-do five star tours, celebrated its 25th anniversary last week.
Touring Edinburgh’s top landmarks and iconic sightseeing spots come rain or shine 364 days a year, Edinburgh Bus Tours has reached a landmark 25 years. As one of the City’s enduring tourism symbols, since it first launched in 1989, Edinburgh Bus Tours carry more than 500,000 passengers every year.
To mark this milestone anniversary, Edinburgh Bus Tours brought children from its 2014 Charity of the Year, The Yard, on board a green Edinburgh Tour bus for birthday celebrations and a tour of the city.
The Yard is a local charity which aims to provide care, support, fun and friendship to children and young people with disabilities; as part of the Transport for Edinburgh group, Edinburgh Bus Tours is helping to raise funds and build the profile of the charity throughout 2014 as well as offering a range of activities for the children.
