Supporters of Equal Marriage are celebrating after the Scottish Parliament overwhelmingly passed the Civil Partnerships and Marriage Bill into Law today. Patrick Harvie MSP (Green Party) alluded to recent comments made by a UKIP councillor by commenting “We now have Equal Marriage, so where are the fires and floods?
Scotland is now the seventeenth nation to adopt equal marriage and many MSPs called it one of the most of important pieces of legislation ever passed in the history of the Parliament.
