YOUNG GYMNASTS SPRING INTO ACTION FOR EDINBURGH LEISURE
Official launch of a new £500,000 state-of-the-art gymnastics and soft play centre this morning.
Portobello’s promenade was centre stage for the official launch of Edinburgh Leisure’s largest soft play centre and the City’s new state-of-the-art gymnastics Centre earlier today when over 150 guests previewed the state-of-the-art facilities and enjoyed show-stopping gymnastics displays from troupes of young local gymnasts.
With a huge demand for gymnastics classes and some 200 children on waiting lists in Edinburgh and Lothians alone, Tumbles at Portobello officially opens to the public tomorrow, giving thousands of children, from beginners to elite athletes and gymnastics clubs, the opportunity to access state-of-the-art gymnastics equipment and coaching.
Edinburgh Leisure and sportscotland have invested over £500,000 in this new Centre with 20 new jobs created at Tumbles as a result.
Tumbles at Portobello will officially open to the public at 9:30am on Saturday 5 October with Commonwealth Games mascot Clyde on hand to meet visitors.
