Stand-up comedians, Phil Differ and Bob Doolally, help to launch Fairtrade Fortnight 2013 with a show at the Stand Comedy Club in Edinburgh. Come along and hear the remarkable story about the beginning of the end of the use of child labour in the production of footballs. “Scotland may have failed to qualify for yet another World Cup but can stand proud in the promotion of Fair Trade, it will be a game of two halves with Fair Trade footballs the winner”.

No Excuses run regular business networking events in Edinburgh. The next ones are taking place in March…

There’s still time to book your place at the No Excuses evening networking event on Friday 8 March, 6-7.30pm and No Excuses breakfast-time networking on Monday 11 March, 8-9.30am. As well as regular attendees, 18 first-time visitors are planning to come along to the evening event and 16 first time-visitors are planning to attend the breakfast event.

No Excuses events have attracted hundreds of Edinburgh’s most successful and interesting business-people over the last few years.

Here are just some of the benefits attendees have gained:

– new clients

– employment

– support

– new connections

– stronger business relationships

– business ideas

– a higher profile

– marketing opportunities

– social invitations

– expert business tips

– trusted suppliers

– collaborations

– repeat business

– an insight into other local businesses

– the ‘buzz’ of mixing with like-minded people

In other words, positive results and value for money.

The format

Our Friday evening event is informal: you can network as much as you wish, or just enjoy socialising with other members of the business community. Either way, it’s perfect for winding down after a busy week, while continuing to market your business. Our breakfast-time event is also informal, combining networking, introductions, and an interactive speaker session, offering expert business tips and information about local businesses. Attendee lists will be provided after the events, to everyone who comes along.

Booking details

If you’d like to attend the next evening or breakfast-time event (or both), please just RSVP to info@noexcusesedinburgh.com, to make your booking, as soon as possible, stating which event(s) you would like to attend. We will be meeting at city centre locations and venue details will be provided along with payment details on receipt of your RSVP. There is no cost to current members and three event pass holders to attend this event.

The cost to first time visitors and guests is £5 in advance, if received by at latest 12 noon on Friday 8 March, or £10 to pay at the event. The cost to attend for previous visitors or previous members is £10 in advance, or £15 to pay at the event.
