Scottish Water has announced an essential temporary road closure for work to the water network.

The company says this work will help ensure that customers continue to have a fresh, clear supply of drinking water and it will reduce the risk of future pipe bursts.

The work will begin on Monday, 18 November and last approximately six weeks.

Boswall Gardens at the junction with Boswall Terrace will be closed during working hours, which includes Monday to Friday from 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM, Saturday from 8.00 AM to 4.00 PM, and Sunday from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM. The road will reopen out with working hours, and weekend work will also be utilised to expedite the work.

Diversion routes will be via – Boswall Crescent, Boswall Drive, and Boswall Parkway.

The publicly owned utility company assures customers that access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

Any areas of operation will be made safe and secure, with full reinstatements carried out on completion of the work.

The work is being carried out by Scottish Water’s contractor, Cleantech.
