With big name celebrities such as Peter Andre on the menu, the Edinburgh audience lapped up the entertainment in Inverleith Park over the weekend.

The UK’s biggest touring food and celeb chef festival, Foodies Festival, got to Edinburgh where two of the city’s best-known chefs took part in seafood demonstrations.

Also National Chef Gary Maclean put on a show at the La Española Chefs Theatre on Sunday.

Earlier in the weekend, local Masterchef finalist Dean Banks led the ultimate lobster roll demonstration teaching audiences how to prepare fresh lobster and revealing the secrets behind the lobster rolls that he has become known for.

Dan Ashmore, head chef at the new Leith venue ASKR  also demonstrated his ethos of coal-fired cooking showcasing a succulent dish of Orkney scallops among other fresh favourites.
