Edinburgh World Heritage have announced their next event celebrating Edinburgh’s role as inspiration to artists.
Painters, past and present, have depicted Edinburgh in countless different ways as both a backdrop and as the subject of great art. In this live event, our panel will share and talk about some of their favourite Edinburgh paintings, and discuss why the city has been such a potent muse for artists over the years.
Special guests include Scottish watercolourist Hugh Buchanan, RSA New Contemporaries 2020 young artist Lyndsey Mackenzie and Patricia Allerston, who is chief curator of European and Scottish art and portraiture at the National Galleries of Scotland.
Dates: 29 October 2020
Start time: 6pm
