Grant Wilson (pictured) is the Balerno Bowling Club’s Singles champion after beating Maxie Baigrie 21-16, writes Steven Watson.
It was a very good game played in windy conditions. Grant got off to a great start leading 10-2 after five ends.
The players traded blows to make the score 17-10 playing the tenth, Maxie lying a good two shots and Grant burnt the end. In the replay Grant got a two to lead 19 – 10, but Maxie had a fantastic run of four ends to bring the score back to 19-16.
However, Grant stayed calm to play a fantastic last bowl resting the jack to record a two and claim the title.
