Elite League: Fife Flyers 4, Nottingham Panthers 2; Dundee Stars 5, Sheffield Steelers 6 (after sudden death overtime); Cardiff Devils 5, Glasgow Clan 3

Fife Flyers completed a weekend win double by whipping Nottingham Panthers 4-2 at Kirkcaldy.

Todd Dutiaume’s men led 4-0 before Panthers slotted two goals in five minutes deep in the final session.

Chase Schaber broke the deadlock after 26 minutes and Danick Gauthier made it 2-0 ten minutes later.

Gauthier added to his and Fife’s account 11 minutes after that and Mike Cazzola complete the home side’s scoring in the 51st minute.

Samuel Herr scored after 53 minutes for Nottingham and Oliver Betteridge added No 2 less than two minutes from time.

On Tayside, Michael Davies broke Dundee Stars’ hearts with a sudden-death winner for Sheffield Steelers.

The sides were locked at 5-5 before Davis scored 2min 38sec into the extra session.

And Glasgow Clan slipped to their second defeat of the weekend when they were edged 5-3 at Cardiff Devils after leading in three minutes.

The Scots were 2-1 behind after the first session and 3-1 adrift after the middle period.

They tied the third stanza 2-2 and Nolan LaPorte, Matt Pufahl and Mathieu Roy netted for the visitors.
