Hibernian have confirmed that Kirsten Reilly has left the club.
Reilly signed for Hibs in January 2018 and played a big part in two SWPL Cups and the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup.
The lifelong Hibs’ fan is sad to be departing but grateful for the opportunity to live the dream in the green and white.
She said: “I can’t thank everyone at Hibernian enough for what they have done for me during my time here.
“It’s been the most amazing experience. I’ve improved as a player and a person. I’ll take all of that with me.
“Being a lifelong Hibee made my decision even harder but I’m excited for my next challenge.”
Head Coach Grant Scott expressed his disappointment at losing Kirsten’s services.
He added: “When she joined the squad Kirsten was a little behind the others.
“But she recognised that and to watch the transformation in her fitness and strength levels tells you all you need to know about Kirsten’s attitude.
“As a person and an athlete, she became a very influential player in our side.
“Kirsten leaves with our backing and our best wishes.
“Once again it shows evidence of the work being done at Hibernian that another talent has been developed and recognised by others.
“We have a group of hungry players who will now fight for that starting spot in our side and I’m excited to see who steps up. We have a lot of quality.”
