Hibs’ Head Coach Neil Lennon believes that his players will have to be at their best to get anything from Celtic at Easter Road on Sunday.

Hibs returned to winning ways against Hamilton last weekend but Lennon knows that Celtic will be a different matter, particularly after their emphatic victory over league leaders Kilmarnock last Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the game, Lennon said: “We are a little bit bare in terms of numbers.

“It will be a formidable task. Celtic have done great to qualify (from the Europa League group stages) and that will give them a huge boost.

“We know how difficult the prospect of playing them on Sunday will be,

“We had a great, much needed win last week and now we are looking forward to Celtic then Rangers on the back of that.

“A win is a win because we weren’t playing as well as we could have then second half we started seeing us come back to a bit of form. I think it has given everyone a lift and hopefully now we can get back to the style of football we are capable of.

“Some of them were off the boil, but they have been brighter this week and that all comes with the win and feeling good about themselves.

“Martin Boyle is a big doubt as is Paul Hanlon, David Gray, Marvin Bartley, Mark Milligan, Adam Bogdan and Harry Mavrias so that’s seven or eight now all experience players and that’s what you need against a team like Celtic.”
