Jeremy Balfour, Scottish Conservative MSP raised a motion at the Scottish Parliament this week to lend his support for the Independent Living Scotland event which will take place on 26 and 27 September.

Jeremy said :  “The Independent Living Scotland event is a wonderful way for carers, families supporting someone with a disability, health professionals and the public to learn first-hand about new developments in this field and to be able to test products such as wheelchairs, adapted cars, motor scooters, and home adaption aids.”

“I’m also delighted that disabled sport is getting recognition at the event with demonstrations from our wheelchair curling team and other disabled sports such as basketball, wheelchair and visually impaired football being showcased.”

“I would urge anyone who wants greater understanding and support in areas such as dementia, autism and physical disabilities to come along and meet the various exhibitors and benefit from this wonderful free event.”

The Independent Living Scotland Event is running on 26 September and 27 September 2018 at the SEC Glasgow
