Hibs’ fans are keen to see on-loan Manchester City winger Thomas Agyepong in first team action after his impressive performance in the Development Squad’s 3-1 victory over Morton at Cappielow on Monday where he scored and registered an assist for Lewis Allan.

The Ghanaian international has been on the bench for the first team but has yet to feature.

His last professional appearance was for NAC Breda away to FC Twente on Sunday 6 May earlier this year.

After the game he told Hibs’ Media: “I feel really good. It’s been a long time since I have played as I have been coming back from injury. Last season I didn’t play a lot.

“During pre-season I wasn’t able to play matches to get my fitness up. To get an hour was really good.

“I felt a bit of fatigue, but that’s normal if you haven’t played in a long time, but it was a good feeling to play.

“Going into the game it was in my mind to just enjoy and to contribute to the team. To do that so early was good and it gave me confidence going into the game and it kept me going.

“To do that in the first minute it can set you up for the whole game and your confidence will come up as a result and everything takes care of itself.”

He is now hoping that his performance will convince Neil Lennon to select him for the squad on Saturday at the Tony Macaroni Arena as Hibs take on Livingston.

“I am always looking forward to getting onto the pitch. Any time I am called to play I will give my best.

“Playing on Monday was good as it let me get some game time in my legs and some minutes under my belt, which should set me up for my debut whenever that is.

“I’m just looking forward to the weekend. I don’t know the team yet or how the game is going to go, but if I am called on to come and play then I will give my best to the team.”
