• New Allanwater Homes showhome is a bright and elegant home with soft contemporary colours to the fore
Allanwater Homes has launched its brand new Torridon five bedroom detached showhome at its Heartlands development in West Lothian.
The stunning new showhome has been designed to appeal to family buyers, keen to enjoy Heartlands convenient location. A new and vibrant community is springing up here, enjoying the area’s many amenities and close proximity to both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Presenting an on trend look, the showhome has been designed to show prospective buyers what can be done with the very latest colours and techniques. It is aspirational but also a look they can achieve in their own homes. It displays a number of different treatments in the bedrooms, with a teenage girl’s bedroom, a cute nursery, an elegant guest bedroom, and a bedroom decorated for twin boys. Exclusive wallpapers from top Scottish designers feature in the home, along with pieces of statement furniture from showhome designers for Allanwater Homes, Steven Burgess Furniture & Interiors. Steven Burgess was the firm responsible for Allanwater’s highly acclaimed showhome at The Views in Saline in Fife, and have once again brought their experience to bear in creating the superb look for this property.
A retro theme runs throughout the property, with retro style walnut furniture in the lounge, plus a dog tooth check sofa in taupe with two oversized armchairs. The colour scheme of mustard, taupe and silver in this stylish room is accentuated with opulent lighting, including a chandelier with natural polished agates, and two brass table lamps with linen lampshades.
The modern horizontal wallpaper in the lounge continues into the dining room where a retro glass dining table takes centre stage, with a round sundial mirror sitting above the sideboard. A second matching agate chandelier illuminates the dining area, with matching agate and brass coloured table lamps with crisp linen shades. The wave design seen in the lounge curtains is also used here in the dining room curtains in a white and mustard embroidered design.
Into the practical and well designed kitchen, which features wenge door kitchen units, and viewers of this showhome will find a feature wall in mustard with hints of lime cordial and an illuminated drinks wall panel. The room also has an accent swivel chair in plush mustard, and Roman Blinds.
The Torridon is also complete with a well sized family room, perfect as a chill out zone. An L shaped sofa in zesty lemon features in here with wallpaper by Scion called Berry Tree, in a yellow, lime, white and grey colours scheme. A shaggy rug and a low oak TV unit completes thee comfortable and informal look in this room.
Proving that crisp white bed linen never goes out of fashion is the master bedroom, which features an upholstered wing back headboard and an upholstered foot end in taupe linen style fabric, together with the fresh bed linen. The “Washboard” feature wall is in a textured taupe and grey colourway to perfectly off set the soft grey platinum painted bedroom furniture. Grey lamps with soft grey silk shades and a full length designer mirror give this room an opulent and luxurious look which is for adults only!
“We are delighted to launch this beautiful new showhome, here in Heartlands, it certainly has been eagerly anticipated,” said Sharron McCarthy, Sales and Marketing Manager for Allanwater Homes.
