Scott Allan is loving every minute of his second spell with Hibs after re-joining the club on loan during the January transfer window.

Since that time Hibs have gone unbeaten in games he has featured in and he believes a combination of the depth of squad and the feel good factor emanating from the supporters has contributed to the success.

Allan has reproduced the form he showed during his last period at the club under Alan Stubbs which earned him the Championship player of the year award and a big money move to Celtic.

His future looks bleak under Brendan Rodgers at Parkhead and the Hibs’ fans are hoping that a summer move to the capital is on the cards.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Allan said: “You actually forget that Hibs only came up last year with the way we’ve went about our business. I only came in in January but by the football we’re playing, we’re filling out the stadium and I think that it’s just a great place to be at the moment, I’m loving every minute here.”

“I think the confidence that we’re all given each other as players is really showing on the park – everybody’s brave on the ball, the fans are getting right behind us and I think that’s why we’ve had a lot of success.

“As a squad we believe that we’re good enough to finish second and I think we’ve really shown that especially in the last couple of months when it’s been the tight games between the top four teams. I think we’ve really stamped our authority in those games and everybody’s noticing that.”

“I’ve enjoyed every minute. We’ve not lost a game since I’ve re-joined and I think we’re moving in the right direction.

“The strength and depth of the squad has been a big thing as well, people have come in when guys have been suspended or injured and everybody’s played their part.

“I think that’s what we need to keep doing until the end of the season. We’ve got four massive games left and we want to win every one. I watched the game last week, every player is playing well and that’s a massive thing.”

Hibs face on-form Kilmarnock this afternoon at Easter Road and Allan is aware that three points are vital in the race for second place.

Aberdeen’s victory over Hearts moved the Dons six points clear although Hibs can reduce that to three with a victory today.

The pair meet next weekend at Pittodrie in a game which could decide second place which would be a remarkable achievement for Hibs who came up from the Championship last year.
