Bari McKenzie aims to heap more agony on his misfiring former team, Edinburgh Capitals, when they visit to Braehead Arena on Wednesday (face-off 7.30pm).

Clan’s Scottish-born forward has called on his team-mates to build on their impressive home, Elite League win over the Sheffield Steelers last weekend.

Capitals currently sit bottom of the 12-strong table with only 11 points but McKenzie told his play-off pushing team-mates not to be complacent.

McKenzie, who also played for Dundee Stars, said: “We were delighted to come away with a big win against Sheffield. Now it is important we build on that.

“With Coventry (Blaze) and Dundee right behind us, the game against Edinburgh is huge and the whole club is focused on earning two points.”

And McKenzie said: “With the Purple Army behind we can come away with an import victory as we look stay in eighth place with only seven games left in the regular season.”

Tickets are still available.
