Finlay Pretsell’s Time Trial was screened at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, last week. This is one of the very biggest film and music festivals and Pretsell’s film featured the final races of Scottish cyclist David Miller.
He directed the film as part of his work at the College’s Scottish Documentary Institute. The film was first shown at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam in November last year and was nominated for Best Feature.
Noe Mendelle Director of the Scottish Documentary Institute said : “We are very proud that Finlay’s first feature documentary Time Trial was screened for its USA premiere at SXSW. It was selected out of 1050 submissions, on the grounds of its innovation, energy and bold voice.”
