Sophie Maunder claimed a glory treble as champions Edinburgh University moved five points clear in the Division One title race.

The students won 3-0 at Hillhead and second-placed Milne Craig Clydesdale Western skidded to a 1-0 defeat to Watsonsians.

Captain Emily Newlands was the scorer from a penalty corner and the Edinburgh side move up to fifth place.

Dundee Wanderers lost 2-1 to Kelburne as the Paisley side claimed their first points of the season.

Western Wildcats held on to fourth place with a 2-0 away win at Grange with Kirsten Cannon and Lucy Findlay on target.
