Elite League: Braehead Clan 3, Dundee Stars 1; Fife Flyers 2, Coventry Blaze 3

Braehead Clan boosted their Elite League play-off hopes with a 3-1 victory over rivals Dundee Stars.

The Tayside team lead 1-0 after 14 minutes through Gabriel Levesque but Clan then fired three unanswered goals to take the points.

Landon Oslanzki netted after 18 minutes with former Fife Flyers star Brendan Brooks making it 2-0 after 31 minutes.

And Jacob Doty completed the scoring five minutes later.

Lowly Coventry Blaze snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory at high-flying Fife Flyers to hand coach Danny Stewart a welcome birthday present.

Ben Lake after eight and 16 minutes made it 2-0 for the visitors with Danick Gauthier pulling one back for Flyers after 15 minutes.

Brett Robinson netted for 3-1 after 50 minutes but Chase Schaber gave Fife hope with a goal 39 seconds later.

It only proved a consolation and the result is a jolt to Flyers hopes of finishing in the top three.

Flyers now visit Edinburgh Capitals on Sunday (face-off 7.15pm) and Capitals could face a backlash after back-to-back defeats for the Kirtkcaldy club who lost 6-4 at Belfast Giants on Friday.
