Edinburgh Police appealed today for information to help trace a man who has been reported missing from the South East of the city.

Lee Gibb was last seen in Watson Crescent in the Polwarth area at around 4 p.m. on Friday 15 December 2017.

The 43-year-old did not return to his home in Craigmillar, and concern is growing for his welfare.

Lee has learning difficulties, but has previously used his bus pass to travel throughout the country. Officers are therefore keen to establish his whereabouts as soon as possible.

Anyone who believes they have seen him is asked to come forward.

He is described as white, 6ft tall with a slim build, short dark hair and wearing a black coat, black trousers and black boots.

Sergeant Mark Willie from Craigmillar Police Station said: “While Lee has limited access to money, he has a bus pass, which he has previously used to travel outside of Edinburgh.

“With that in mind, we would ask members of the public throughout the country to keep a look out for Lee and contact us immediately if they see him, particularly around bus stations.

“In addition, we would ask Lee to get in touch if he sees this appeal so we can ensure he is safe.”

Those with information can contact Craigmillar Police Station via 101 and quote incident number 2746 of 15 December 2017.
