Cucina at the G&V Royal Mile has been named Italian Restaurant of the Year at the Luxury Travel Guide Europe Awards 2017.

This is indeed a real coup for Cucina which got the gong to recognise its good service, the menu and the quality of the produce used.

Bolognan chef Mattia Camorani heads up a team of Scotland’s best culinary talent and G&V’s signature restaurant offers a sophisticated, metropolitan take on authentic Italian cuisine. There is a seasonal menu based on sustainable, local ingredients, including honey from the hotel’s rooftop beehives, home to 180,000 G&Bees.

The restaurant on the Royal Mile was recently given a quirky revamp with designers Timorous Beasties creating a bespoke interior reflecting the restaurant’s playful dishes.

The Luxury Travel Guide Europe Awards identify and celebrate the very best establishments across all sectors of the luxury travel and tourism industry in Europe, distinguishing the hotels, restaurants, airlines and tour operators that are top in their field.
