Hibs cruised into the semi-final of the SSE Scottish Cup with an impressive 9-0 quarter-final victory over Glasgow Girls.
Hat-tricks from Lisa Robertson and Katey Turner, plus goals from Emma Brownlie, Chelsea Cornet and Kirsty Smith, ensured progression in the tournament.
Afterwards manager Chris Roberts said: “I am delighted with todays performance. Despite the score, the Glasgow Girls applied a lot of pressure and tried to lay throughout so credit to them.
“We freshened things up today bringing Hannah, Shannon, Ellis and Chelsea into the starting eleven and their contribution was excellent.
“The depth in the squad is improving all the time. We are hoping to have Racheal and Siobhan back fully fit by the end of the international break which will be needed for a really busy fixture period.
“I was particularly pleased with Lisa Robertson’s performance today. That was only her sixth start of the season due to injury and she was excellent. When we play her higher u she is a real goal threat which we seen today.
Hibs will go into Wednesday’s draw with Rangers, Forfar Farmington and Glasgow City. The draw will be aired at 10:30am on the STV2 player. For SSE Scottish Cup news and updates, follow @HibsLadies on Twitter.
