The demolition of the St James Shopping Centre continues at the top of Leith Street where traffic still edges past, albeit quite slowly.
This is the first phase of the new Edinburgh St James development which is an £850 million scheme including retail, residential, cinemas, restaurants and a hotel.
There will be diversions here from September for 44 weeks, during which time Leith Street will be closed between Calton Road and Waterloo Place.
