Police in Edinburgh are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man reported missing in the Corstorphine area.

Norman Skivington was last seen leaving an address in Kirk Loan, walking towards St John’s Road, around 11.45am on Monday 21 August 2017.

The 60-year-old has not been in touch with friends or family since and there is growing concern for his welfare.

Norman is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build, with blue eyes, short receding grey/white hair and a moustashe, and a red mark on the left side of his forehead.

He was last seen wearing a grey Trespass jacket with red lining, and black trainers with white soles.

Norman is a keen walker in the Corstophine and Clermiston areas and may use the bus to travel.

He has an illness which affects his movement and can cause him to be unsteady on his feet.

Inspector Jonny Elliott of Drylaw Police Station said: “We’re growing increasingly concerned for Norman’s welfare and would ask anyone who may have seen him since this time to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3595 of 22 August.
