Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen is expected to make his debut for Berwick Bandits on Saturday in the SGB Championship against Sheffield Tigers (tapes-up 7pm) after taking over from crocked racer Lewis Bridger.
The Dane has been signed for the rest of the season on loan from Rye House Rockets as Bridger’s back injury is worse than first thought and may require surgery.
Jakobsen has an impressive record around Shielfield Park with Rockets and Peterborough Panthers and club co-owner, Scott Courtney, said:
“Nikolaj will do a good job for us. His attitude and hunger to wear a Bandits race jacket is impressive.”
Joe Jacobs, who stepped into the side on a 28 day contract, drops out of the team.
