Nick Morris powered to 16 points but Berwick Bandits nightmare start to the season continues.

The Borders club prop up the ten-strong Championship with one point from ten matches after being beaten 53-40 at Workington Comets. Comeback man David Howe collected eight points for Bandits.

In Glasgow, Tigers roared back to the top of the table with a 52-38 win over fourth-placed Redcar Bears.

Skipper Aaron Summers and Richie Worrall top scored with 12 points and Richard Lawson pocketed 11.

Former Glasgow and Berwick rider Ben Barker was best for Bears with 16 points but the home side won comfortably after being 30-18 ahead after eight races.

Finally, Edinburgh Monarchs are back in action after Friday’s 45-45 draw with Glasgow at Armadale and they visit Newcastle Diamonds on Sunday night. Tapes up at 6.30.
