Hibs’ defender Jordon Forster insists that the next two game are massive for the club particularly after dropping points at home to Dumbarton last weekend.
He also stressed the importance of preparing properly for the game which could go a long way to deciding on the destination of the Championship trophy.
Promotion rivals Falkirk visit Easter Road tomorrow and Hibs will be without first choice keeper Ofir Marciano and midfielder John McGinn who are both on international duty.
The pair should return for the game against Morton next Wednesday.
Forster said: “I think the big thing is mentally. Dundee United on Friday night was on TV with a packed stadium and then you come to Saturday against Dumbarton.
“The game is obviously not on TV and maybe psychologically we were not prepared for the game properly.
“That’s got to be the problem, mentally. On paper we’re the better team but maybe we didn’t start the game properly and a bit of slackness kicked in.
“You see it throughout the divisions and throughout different standards of football. A team is on a high and going into the next game they drop points.
“For us it’s finding a balance and being a lot more consistent because that’s the problem right now.”
“Consistency is key and right now we’re struggling with that and it’s up to us to repay the fans for their backing to sort it out.
“The next two games are massive for us, they’re both pretty close to us and thankfully right now we’re playing well in bigger games.”
“He lifted his hands to me. It wasn’t a Mike Tyson punch but he definitely made contact and by the rules it was a sending off, but regardless we should have won the game.
