Hibs’ Head Coach Neil Lennon said that he is sick of dropping points at home following yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Dumbarton at Easter Road.

Hibs actually extended their lead at the top to seven points although Morton gained ground after beating Falkirk and could reduce that gap to four if they win their game in hand.

Morton took the lead with a controversial penalty after Marvin Bartley had needlessly brought down Andy Stirling on the edge of the area but Hibs drew level thanks to a Daniel Harvie own goal.

Robert Thomson restored ‘Sons goal advantage and James Keatings missed a penalty before Martin Boyle levelled the scoring near the end.

Hibs face Falkirk at Easter Road next Saturday then Morton at home the following Wednesday night.

After the game a frustrated Lennon said: “We have only ourselves to blame for dropping points.

“I was really pleased with the second half performance but I was really frustrated with the first half performance. It’s not acceptable.

“It’s nothing I am doing. Managers take responsibility a lot but it was nothing to do with tactics.

“We were pedestrian, clumsy, sloppy, all the things we gave them warnings about before the game and they just go out and do it.

“The penalty was a joke, the boy was going nowhere.

“I’m sick of them doing this and I am sick of us dropping points at home for not approaching games the right way.

“I feel it’s not me you should be asking. You should be asking the players because I sound like a broken down record.

We gave them all the warnings how to approach it and then we go at 30 per cent,.

I’m not even sure if they had a sweat on at half time, but they certainly did after I finished with them.

“We play Falkirk and Morton in the next two games and we can make life a lot easier for ourselves by winning those.”
